School Workshops

In 2020/21 The Smile Foundation commissioned Diversify to create a series of ‘Kindness Superhero’ Workshops. In addition to this, we have also donated workshops and awareness sessions to schools across the UK. At the foundation we believe no child should miss out on the opportunity to be educated about inclusion. By funding the cost of the workshops and awareness sessions it has allowed schools with little to no budget to access these important lessons.

Diversify's mission is to promote social inclusion through educational workshops, programmes and awareness sessions in both the education and business sector. Promotion of social inclusion means increased awareness of topics, decreased negative attention towards these issues and ultimately better lives for those who experience exclusion on a daily basis. Diversify believe that people are often scared of differences in society through a lack of understanding and that by informing the public, Diversify remove that barrier to communication and community.

Family Aid Grants

Throughout the past year The Smile Foundation have been supporting families in need. We have donated winter wear, toys, baby essentials, cots and car seats to support those most in need.

Roundabout Group Living Trip

Young people and staff from Group Living recently had a great trip to Skegness Fantasy Island, thanks to a generous grant from The Tracy Clarkson Smile Foundation. Thank you for giving our young people the opportunity to have the trip of a lifetime and enjoy something they haven’t done before. More exciting adventures ahead!

In July 2021, after a turbulent year, the pupils at Eastwood Village Primary School received the most incredible opportunity from the amazing Diversify and The Smile Foundation. They enabled a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Gulliver’s Valley.

In the past few years, Diversify has come to Eastwood Village Primary school to host a number of workshops. Despite covid-19, Diversify has still come to school to remind the pupils of Eastwood Village Primary school about equality, racism, disabilities, and lots of other social issues.

On the morning of the trip, there was a buzz around the school. A Y6 student said, “I never thought I’d get to go to an actual theme park!”. The Year One pupils were more excited than ever! The first ride the pupils went on was the pirate ship which was fantastic. Another ride the pupils went on was the water flume! It was Y5’s favourite ride but not Y6’s favourite as they got stuck on it. It was still an amazing trip!

Our pupils (and teachers) all had a great trip. We are all so thankful for this opportunity which we would not have had otherwise!

Thank you, Sara, Diversify, and The Smile Foundation for helping us to go on our amazing school trip to Gulliver’s Valley. We all had an amazing time on the rides, it was so much fun.

Key Stage 1 Gulliver’s Valley Trip

The Smile Foundation recently took a group of KS1 and Foundation level students for a fantastic trip to Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

"We took food for a picnic. We sat with our friends under the shelter to keep cool. Our packed lunches tasted lovely. After we ate our dinner, we played in the Mini Village."
